The impact of the power and control wheel is remarkable. It's hard to think of a single idea, reprsented in a graphic, that has had so much influence. The wheels has been translated into at least 38 languages.

Where the Duluth Model for Responding to Domestic Abuse Started
The journey of making the domestic violence documentary brought us to Duluth, and fate led us to spend a great deal of time there. In Duluth, we found our central characters, and a DV community that was open, supportive and encouraging. The picture captures the city on an uncharacteristcally beautiful day.
Kim's story has become the central narrative of the domestic violence documentary. Kim courageously opened her life to us. She's the hero of the film -- both as our subject, and in making it possible for the project to move forward.
Carolyn Fish, Rockland Family Shelter
Carolyn and many others at the Rockland Family Shelter helped the domestic violence documetnary film get started. Carolyn spent a great deal of time sharing her story and the story of RFS. This background education was instrumental in shaping the focus of the film.
